Knowledge Worker Performance as a management topic

Knowledge worker performance is a management topic which in my opinion is in its earliest stages of development.  Until now most discussion has been basd around ‘Knowledge Management’, a topic which has historically had a strong IT flavour.  This community is increasingly moving into the human issues that underpin the capture and re-use of knowledge.  Knowledge worker performance has also become a subset of this field.  For those of us interested in the subject, this provides a huge opportunity to contribute something to the topic.
